Neck Point is a lovely stroll along the waterfront or a fun walk through the forest. It features info posts that point out interesting facts about what you are looking at. There are little fairy doors hidden in the forest. The beach there provides a great view of the sunset. And the water is great for swimming!

When the tide is out at Pipers, you can see all the hermit crab shells covering the beach. The sunset reflecting on the water looks beautiful. There's a little trail you can explore. And you can also wade over to Shack Island when the tide is low.

Sugarloaf has one of the best views in Nanaimo. You can see Mt. Benson, downtown Nanaimo, Departure Bay, and even Vancouver in the distance. It's also a great spot for stargazing.
