Alan Gardens is one of my favourite places in Toronto's east downtown. This Victorian greenhouse is an excellent place to go to during the winter, as it is 30 degrees year round. There are many different species of plants, as well as a lovely family of turtles. They've been known to escape at night, so you will often see workers moving the turtles back to their pond so they aren't eaten by racoons.
