Sheridan Lake, BC - Shining Sheridan Sunrise Through Wispy Steam guestBook Guestbook   Mar 16, 2015

Sheridan Lake is in British Columbia’s interior roughly 30 minutes Southeast of One Hundred Mile House. It is know for its reputation as a trophy fishing lake. I have been coming to my family’s cabin at Sheridan Lake since I was only 3 weeks old. Here, I have discovered who I am by being able to practice and experience a variety of sports; allowing me to recognize my passions and develop an identity. Over the multiple years that I have spent at Sheridan Lake with my family, I discovered a connection to natural Canada and the nature surrounding me. The beauty of the outdoors is captivating and helped me enriched my Canadian identity as well as provided me with a place of belonging in British Columbia’s interior. To me, Canadian identity means discovering our nations hidden secrets and indulging in a world surrounded by wildlife and away from technology. This photo and the physical environment of the lake fills me with a sense of joy. When I look at it, it reminds me of sentimental memories from when I was younger, the connection I have with my family and the life skills that I have developed at Sheridan Lake. I believe that anyone who visits Sheridan Lake will immediately discover a connection with it’s majestic scenery and appreciate the calming atmosphere.
