Scarborough Bluffs Park

Scarborough Bluffs Park

Bluffs stretch for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east. The Scarborough Bluffs are a significant geological feature resulting from the accumulation of sedimentary deposits over 12,000 years ago. They were formed by the natural processes of wind and water erosion from Lake Ontario.

The Scarborough Bluffs are made up of several different parks. To visit the waterfront, beach and marina at "The Bluffs", please follow Brimley Road South to the Lake”. The only public access to the lake is at Bluffer's Park.

The best swimming here is to the east side of the park. Lots of sandy beach. I have seen ducks, geese, swans, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks and sometimes rabbits

Tough to get a scenic photo now. There has been so much dangerous erosion that the city has built fences keep the public back from the edge. Nevertheless a great view of Bluffers Park below here.

Didn't have many expectations, but when I went, it was absolutely beautiful. Connects you one with nature. I stayed here for around 6 hours, and did not want to leave. Very beautiful place, and perfect for pictures.

Loved the Bluffs! So close to the city. Make sure you go to the top and the bottom for different views!

My fondest memory of being at "The Bluffs" is a summer picnic with my family, test-driving a portable charcoal bbq. We turned out to be one of many, many families who more or less all had the same idea for that afternoon. I remember exchanging cooking tips and business cards with fellow new Canadians from far and wide. The teacher, the taxi driver, the civil engineer, the civil engineer who drove taxis, we all shared in the joy of having made it to Canada, and of having made Toronto our home.

A friend and I went on a drive, with no particular destination and arrived at the Scarborough bluffs. It was beautiful to see the crumbling sand cliffs.
