My favourite season to spend in High Park is summer (also my favourite season of all). The size of High Park still amazes me and I have not yet explored all the areas within it! I had the privilege to live within less than a 10 minute walk from this grand park and I loved escaping my busy days and wondering through the park for hours. It's rare that I get to go out of the city, I'm grateful for this park for giving me the feeling of being far away in nature without the need to drive for hours. I'm not a runner (yet) so I prefer to stroll the many trails that lead to calming ponds, open green spaces and so much more. Laying under the shade of a tree, breathing the fresh air nature give us, all while I hear serene sounds of water. Great way to unload and recharge!

It was just another weekend out with my family, obeying out old tradition of going out every weekend. This one started off a bit weirdly. we were sitting at home, and I suddenly had this weird craving for Chinese food. And somehow, we ended up at high park as a result of out attempt of finding a good chinese restaurant. Well, this wasn't the first time that happened, because living in a country where there's so much potential and so many possibilities, there's never "nothing to do". And hands down, I can say with complete honesty, that I live in the absolute best country in the world. Lucky me.

My name is Sefi Sloman, I'm 18 years old, my community is North York, Toronto, ON. I personally find that whenever I visit the states, people aren't as dog friendly as I'm used to in Canada. I rarely see big beautiful and inviting parks, let alone one's which allow dogs. My wheaten terrier is now 5 years old: In this photo she was only 2 months. My dog Maybei has stuck by me through some tough times and continues to be one of my most trusted friends. This photo, taken at High Park, Toronto, Ontario was Maybei's first time playing with another dog. Whenever I visit High Park since this, I'm reminded of how much I love my dog, and how grateful I am that Canada is so dog friendly with numerous parks and green spaces.

Nature has always been a significant constant in my life, in which I can relax and enjoy the beauty of the world. I love photography nature especially, as I have the opportunity to see through different perspectives. I took this candid shot in High Park, Toronto, which showcases a man sitting near a tree in the fall. I love every aspect of Autumn and it's my favourite season to photograph. The fallen maple leaves remind us of our nationality, of the leaf on our Canadian Flag. Being a Canadian gives me the privilege to enjoy my fully enjoy my surroundings and I always embrace the beauty I see.

High Park is Toronto's largest public park featuring many hiking trails, sports facilities, diverse vegetation, a beautiful lakefront, convenient parking, easy public transit access, a dog park, a zoo, playgrounds for children, a couple of eateries, greenhouses, picnic areas, a bunch of squirrels and various events throughout the year.
