To me, Canada is a place of diversity and a place I like to call home. What I love about Canada is that, it never fails to surprise me. Canada is unique in its own way – it has natural beauty, plentiful resources and a great multicultural society, which is why I am proud to call this place home. This image portrays my Canadian identity, because, after learning about Canada’s history, I learned about the ways the Natives used to live. Canada holds many jewels, and Tobermory, the place depicted in this image, is one of its’ hidden secrets. Tobermory relates to my Canadian identity, as it is a peaceful place and it allows me to connect with nature, as the Natives used to do. It is place that allows me to explore and discover the other side to what Canada has to offer, as my everyday life consists of living in the urban area of Toronto. Tobermory shows me that Canadians can be exposed to different lifestyles – living in Toronto means that I have access to a more social life, whereas this place proves that Canada gives me the opportunity to also be able to have an escape in a calm environment.
